Essential Training Centre Etiquette
Video Summary:
Maintain basic hygiene at all times. Nails must be kept short, long hair tied back, training gear clean, and no shoes on the mats.
Cover all cuts, grazes, or open wounds before training to prevent infections.
Do not train if you are sick or have a suspected skin condition such as staph or ringworm. Medical clearance is required before returning.
Do not ask coaches for medical advice regarding skin conditions. Coaches are not doctors. See a medical professional.
Bring your own essentials to every session, including nail clippers, band-aids, and sports tape. Do not ask to borrow any.
Occasional lateness is acceptable. Consistent lateness (many weeks in a row) may result in being asked to reassess whether our gym is the right fit.
Do not interrupt coaches while they are teaching. Keep off-mat conversations quiet and take phone calls outside.
Filming sparring or rolling is not allowed without permission from both the coach and your training partner.
Do not request security camera footage. We are unable to provide clips.
Trial gear is for new students only. After approximately 3–4 weeks, all students must have their own equipment.
