Training Centre Etiquette, Rules For Kids and Safety Expectations
Video Summary:
💪 We’re all about effort over outcome. Learning requires messing up, trying again, and feeling safe to do so.
⏳ Kids must wait off the mats until class starts (usually 5–10 mins before).
👀 Please supervise your kids before/after class.
🚫 No playing outside the gym unless a parent is watching.
🤫 Kids waiting for their class need to stay seated and quiet so kids in the current class can focus!
👟 No shoes on the mats.
📣 No filming during wrestling rounds.
✂️ Kid's must have nails cut short. Kid's wont be allowed to train with long nails.
💬 If you notice your child struggling with something, chat to an instructor; we’re keen to help.
🪑 Please don't drop your kids off and leave without talking to coaches first. Kids might be asked to sit off the mat with mum/dad if they forget the rules.
⚠️ In order to protect our "safe to fail" learning environment
Any form of sideline coaching, or yelling out instructions from off the mats, or filming wrestling rounds is strictly prohibited. Breaking these rules multiple times will result in membership termination.
⚠️ Parents on the mats
Inevitably, students will experience some common, minor bumps, bruises, and discomfort throughout their training journey. As children train more and become more comfortable, we will encourage them to overcome these common, non-serious injuries without needing the support of mum or dad. If a child is genuinely injured or truly distressed, we will bring them to you immediately. Outside of rare, serious situations, parents should not enter the mats.
